When young Andrew Johnson turns up for his first day in the complaints department
at Scambridge Council he is immediately drawn into a web of intrigue, not only by
the mysterious and beautiful Sally, but by his fearful boss, Raymond. We follow Andrew’s induction into the sinister world of the secret society known to its members as ‘Managers’.
As Andrew learns the clandestine techniques and philosophy of ‘Managers’ other forces
conspire to use his inside knowledge in a way which leads him, unknowingly, into deadly
danger. One way or the other Andrew’s life will be either changed forever or lost.
