This is a story of a teenager growing up in the 1990s.
The world was very different to today’s and society was just opening up to globalisation.

Through the story the author explores the causes of Social Globalisation in a world where travelling had yet to be affected by the events of 9/11 and modern connected technology was in its pre-millennium infancy. However, even with the relative simplicity of living, the challenges of Race, Gender, and Class remain. Is the UK the most tolerant country in the world or is it a place for hybridity? The most democratic nation? Against the background of ‘Cool Britannia’ and the powerful ‘New Media’ the understanding of these key issues are explored.
